NRNA Thailand Forms Bangkok Branch

NRNA Thailand’s 1st Bangkok Branch Assembly held on January 19, 2014 in Lumbini Restaurant Bangkok has formed Bangkok Branch Committee led by Bhabindra Basnet, a Bangkok based businessman. Newly formed committee comprises of 17 members.

The opening session of the program was addressed by the Chief guest NRNA Thailand President Khagendra Raj Dhakal,  NCC General Secretary Kedar Prasad Timilsina and NCC Secretary Arun Raj Bhattarai, NCC Treasurer Gopal Lama,  NCC Asst. Secretary Bishow Dhital, NCC Member Raj Karmacharya. Addressing the program, President Dhakal claimed that NRNA activities are voluntary and selfless to build a large extended family of Nepalis. He vowed to  making NRNA a just and equal forum for all Nepalis diaspora in Thailand.

After the electoral process ended, newly elected team took the oath of office from NRNA Thailand President.Then, Thai Nepali Association’s leaders, NRNA NCC leaders congratulated the team.  Similarly, Dr. Hira Prasad Dhakal, Nepal Government’s Former Senior Officer, also congratulated the newly elected team and wish for the successful tenure. 

During the program, a group of artists led by Sahas Singh presented  patriotic Nepali songs. The ceremony was held in the chaired by NCC Vice President Dil Bahadur Thapa (Hari) and conducted by NCC Member and coordinator of organizing committee Baburam Thapa. Youth Representative Dipesh Sherestha and NCC member Charu Thapa had welcome the guests. The details of the committee is as follows:
